I can see clearly now the rain has gone
I think it was November when I first entered the World of Twitter and mentioned that I was about to launch the Brewery in December 2014. At the time of posting this I truly believed I was at the finishing – well, starting – line and ready to launch. Boy was I so wrong!
December 2014 turned to April 2015, which came and passed, still not at the point of launch. So it’s funny that we are in July and only now can I say: its time to start the engine and get this adventure under way!
The rain has lifted (well in my world) and the obstacles that have come my way have been overcome. So, I can proudly say that The Corn Exchange received my first 2 casks this afternoon for the upcoming CAMRA Scottish Real Ale Festival (9th-12th July).
It’s a rebellious wee milk stout infused with coconut and vanilla and I’m sure you will smell the aroma before you meet it. Mutiny on the Bounty is 4.2%, has a silky smooth body and just enough sweetness to take the sting out of the bitterness.
If things go to plan I should be around at the weekend so please let me know what you think. I have to say I’m really looking forward to walking up to the pump with my clip on it and asking for a pint – now THAT’S satisfaction!
Thanks to all of you for hanging in and for all the words of encouragement.
It’s been some journey so far, and I have a feeling it’s only just begun…
